School Choir sings at the Royal Albert Hall
On Tuesday 21st March 30 members of Yr 4/5/6 Choir took part in PP4S Prom Praise for Schools at the Royal Albert Hall. Back in July 2016 the school was asked if we would like to take part in this event and that a massed choir of 500 pupils was being formed to perform. The school choir auditioned and got in! The children have worked very hard, rehearsing 2 lunch times a week since Christmas and learning many of the songs off by heart.
The choir hosted a very special visit from Noel Tredinnick, Conductor of the All Souls Orchestra in preparation for the performance. The theme of the event was ‘Lost and Found’ and songs, drama, beatboxing and classical music all helped to tell the story of The Prodigal Son with the school choirs leading the singing throughout, with one of the choirs favourite songs being Viva la Vida by Coldplay.
A 75 seater coach made its way to the Albert Hall….a fabulous and memorable time was had by all the pupils and very proud parents.
