Girls’ Football Team finishes season with victory in a friendly against Warden House.

The girls played Warden House in a return friendly at Deal Parochial on 15th May. As it was their final match of this season, they were eager to put in a good performance.  They played the whole game with great determination, skill and teamwork, putting the Warden House team under pressure for long periods of the match, which resulted in us scoring 7 goals (4 from Katelyn, 2 from Leyana and 1 from Lulu).  The Warden House striker did manage 2 goals in reply, however, great back-tracking by our captain, Leyana, to support our defence, plus 2 tremendous 1 on 1 saves by our goalie, Ella, ensured we won the match 7 – 2.
Well done girls – I am very proud of you all and you are a credit to Deal Parochial.
Also, many thanks to Mr Barrett who gave great encouragement and direction from the sidelines, whilst I was refereeing the match, and to all the parents who came to support.
Mrs Hodgson.
