DLA maths Competition Winners

On the 29^th of June 2017, 4 children (Owen Y4, Samuel Y4, Olivia Y5 and Babak Y5) went to the Deal Learning Alliance Maths Competition at Kingsdown and Ringwould Church of England Primary School. ‘Most of the questions were logical and difficult,’ the children said. There were 5 other schools in the competition that did well but, luckily, Team Deal Parochial came 1^st by just a few points.

The 3 rounds were mostly problem solving; there were no times tables questions. Another thing the children said was ‘The 2nd Round was the trickiest because there was a grid where you had some statements and you had to find where they go on the grid.’ The team collaborated well and had great fun!
