DEAL PAROCHIAL WINS COUNTY TENNIS AWARD FOR EDUCATION FOR 2017

On Saturday 10th March 2018, Mrs Hodgson, Mr Earl and Mrs Heyworth attended the 2017 Annual Awards for Kent Tennis on behalf of Deal Parochial School.

Our school was one of three primary schools that had been shortlisted within the county for the Education Award.  We were thrilled when we were announced as the winners for our category.  It was particularly nice to receive our Award from Vanessa Webb (who we know so well as the tennis co-ordinator at the Deal Indoor Tennis Centre) who has recently become the president of the Kent LTA.

Earlier during the presentation evening, we had already been delighted when Daniel Hodgson, a former pupil from Deal Parochial who helps each week at our after school tennis club, won the Young Volunteer Award for 2017.

Both our School and Daniel will now represent Kent at the Regional LTA’s Tennis Awards later this year.

Thank you to Mrs Hodgson, Mr Earl, Mrs Heyworth, Daniel Hodgson, All the staff at the Deal Indoor Tennis Centre, our active Tennis Parents and everyone involved in making Tennis such a success at Deal Parochial. We couldn’t do it without you!
