This year, Deal Parochial entered all 3 boys’ age groups of the Kent LTA’s Primary Schools’ Tennis Team Tournaments. These events were all held in Bromley.
The sponge ball tournament took place on May 16th, whilst the orange and green ball tournaments were both held on the 23rd May, with our 2 orange ball tennis teams having to set off very early (6.45am!) for their 9am competition start.
In all three tournaments, the standard of play was very high, and all of our players (Liam Y2, Bailey Y3, Artie Y2, Noah Y1, Evan Y3, Che Y4, Liam Y4, Jack Y4, Bobby Y3, Luke Y4, Taylor, Y4, Adam Y5, Jack Y5, Callum Y5, Kai Y6, Ashton Y6, and George B Y6) competed with great commitment and enthusiasm throughout.
Congratulations to our orange ball ‘A’ team who finished 3rd, after narrowly losing to the eventual winners in their semi-final.  Also, well done to all our other players, most of whom have only been playing at tennis club for less than a year. It was a fantastic achievement for them to produce so many excellent performances considering the high standard of play; they were a credit to the school.
Many thanks to all the parents who helped transport the children to and from Bromley; we couldn’t have taken part without your invaluable support.
