Sunflower Growing Competition

The results were given out during last Friday’s assembly for the school’s sunflower growing competition.

At the beginning of term, sunflower plants were allocated to each class and some groups of staff. (All these plants had been kindly prepared by Mrs Blackman.) The children and staff were then responsible for caring and nurturing their own plants throughout the term. As can be seen in the photo below, many fine sunflowers were produced.

The sunflowers were judged in 2 categories: height grown and the prettiest flower produced.  Well done to the Kitchen Staff who grew the tallest sunflower and to Year 1 who had the prettiest sunflower.
