Harvest Festival 2018
On Friday 12th October, the whole school walked to St Leonard’s Church in Deal to celebrate Harvest Festival.
During the thanksgiving service, there were wonderful renditions of Harvest-inspired songs and poems by all our classes.
– Year 1 held up their beautiful fish artwork during their performance.
– Y2’s performed Makaton to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”.
The choir, joined by Year 6, sang the very popular song: “A Million Dreams” from “The Greatest Showman”, and found children and parents alike, singing along with them. Also, there was a lovely performance by our recorder club.
Like previous years, many children bought in “Love In A Box” as their Harvest gifts; these decorated shoe boxes, full of lovely gifts, will go to children in Eastern Europe who would not otherwise receive a Christmas present.
