Yellow Team are Inter-Team Tennis Champions for 2019.

Last Friday saw the culmination of our Inter-Team Tennis Series.

Over the course of 4 Friday afternoons, our children have played 50 tennis matches at the Deal Indoor Tennis Centre. The series format for our tournament gave the opportunity for 39 children from years 1 to 5 to enjoy playing competitive tennis, whilst being part of their team.
The series started with advanced and intermediate orange ball players competing in weeks 1 and 2 respectively.  Then advanced sponge ball players took to the courts in week 3, followed by beginner sponge ball players in week 4.

Over the series, there were many close matches with lots of great rallies. The points earnt from each week were added all together to give the following overall team results:

1st     Yellow with 55 points
2nd     Red with 44.5 points
3rd     Green with 41.5 points
4th      Blue with 40 points

Well done to Yellow team for being our 2019 inter-team tennis champions.

Well done and thank you to Luke, Jack, Ruby, Liam, Jamie, Che, Mia and Abigail (all year 5) and Bobby (year 4) who took on tennis leader roles with great enthusiasm and maturity during the sponge ball tennis matches in weeks 3 and 4.

Also, many thanks to all the parents who helped with the walking of the children to the tennis centre and who came and supported the children in their tennis.
