Trip to Lionesses’ International Friendly at the Amex.

On Saturday 1st June, Mrs Hodgson and Mr Earl took a school party of pupils, parents and staff, to watch the England Women’s Football team in their final warm-up match before the Women’s Football World Cup.

We travelled by train to the Amex Stadium, (Brighton and Hove Albion’s ground), and saw the Lionesses dominate the first half against New Zealand. Unfortunately though, England did not capitalise on this dominance, and then, after a much more even second half, lost by a single goal to New Zealand.

Following the match, the children were delighted to meet many of the England players, getting many photos and autographs. This really capped off a wonderful day.
