Rapid Fire Cricket Success for our KS1 Team.

On Monday 3rd June, we took part in the Dover Schools’ Games’ Rapid Fire Cricket Tournament.  Our KS1 team played excellently, with their confidence, teamwork and tactical awareness, visibly growing as the tournament progressed.

By winning 4 of our 6 matches, we claimed our place in the Final where we played Whitecliffs Primary School. As we fielded first in the Final, we knew how many runs we had to aim for, when batting. With 2 players left to bat, we needed 13 runs to win. Marie (Y2) stepped up and scored a massive 11 runs, much to everyone’s delight. This then left Jaylan (Y1) who scored another 6 runs to complete our victory.

The team now progress through to the County Finals, which are being held in Ashford on 9th July.

Many thanks to our cricket parents and our Governor, Mr Murphy, for all their help and wonderful support.

Mrs Hodgson and Mr Earl.
