Deal Parochial Tennis Challenge 2019

We had the pleasure of welcoming tennis teams from Bridge and Chartham Primary Schools to our Deal Parochial Tennis Challenge, which we held at the Deal Indoor Tennis Centre (DITC) on Tuesday 15th October. Throughout the afternoon, there was a hub-bub of tennis activity as 24 sponge ball matches and 12 orange ball matches took place, with many great shots and rallies being played. As the afternoon progressed, it was impossible to predict which school would win the overall tournament, as each school was winning a good proportion of its matches. With all the doubles matches complete, the points were added up as follows:

3rd with 39 points was Chartham
2nd with 49 points was Bridge
1st with 56 points was Deal Parochial

All the children then eagerly received their respective medals to round off a wonderful afternoon of tennis. Many thanks to the parents who helped with the walk to the tennis centre, and to our experienced Year 6 players who helped with the smooth running of the tournament with such enthusiasm.
