Dover Museum

On 16th November the Mary Anning Class (Year 3) had a day trip to Dover Museum to learn more about the Bronze Age as part of their  history learning.  Despite the torrential rain, the children enjoyed a train journey to Dover, where they learned how to recreate Bronze Age boats with clay.  They also took part in an artefact workshop handling both replicas and actual Bronze age tools.  The day culminated when they went up to the top gallery to see and learn about the Bronze Age boat that was discovered in Dover 1992.  They all agreed that it was a great hands on History Day!
