Fairness Fiesta Friday
Led by our Refugee Pupil Champions and our Pupil Action team the whole school came together today to raise awareness of how we can act with compassion and kindness towards refugees worldwide. Every child came to school with a rucksack filled with things that they would want to carry if escaping from a war zone or natural disaster. We spent the morning designing posters, writing poems and prayers in support of refugees with a particular focus towards all the Ukrainian families who are being displaced and suffering. Children also brought in donations towards our school linked charity, the Samphire Project, who run a community engagement project working with migrant and British communities to improve social cohesion, and better inclusion of migrants into Dover and surrounding areas of Kent . This is the culmination of our whole school focus this term on Cultural Diversion, linked to our school values and Christian vision.
