We have decided to combine two special literacy events on one day – we will now celebrate “World Book Day” and “Poetry Day” on Thursday 8th March.  Children are asked to dress up as a character from a favourite book. There will be an “in-school” poetry recital and a poem handwriting class competition with prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for the neatest in each class. We will be asking for a donation of £1 towards our school resources and Reading Recovery Centre.

To finish the day there will be the “The Parochial Primary Book Swap” run by the PTFA after school. Flyers were sent home by parentmail.
