At Deal Parochial School CEP School we believe that the curriculum is much more than simply the subjects that are taught, it includes the entirety of their experiences whilst they are at school.
Through our key educational principles of creativity, excellence and resilience, we provide a curriculum that prepares children for their future lives. Our aim is that all children learn the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to be the best person that they can be.
Our Curriculum meets all the requirements of the National Curriculum and includes enhancements in Music, and Physical Education which are supported by specialist teachers.
The core subjects of Reading, Writing and Mathematics are taught discreetly through daily lessons but, where appropriate, links are made with the topics that the children are studying. Much of the curriculum is delivered through topics that engage and excite the children as this is when children learn best and subjects may be taught in a short block or discreetly across a number of weeks depending upon the subject matter.
As a Church of England School, we use the Understanding Christianity and the Kent Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education to learn about other religions and world views, fostering respect for them.
You can find further information about each curriculum area on our website or you can contact us via the school office.
