Gurdwara Trip (Year 3)

Year 3 had the most amazing trip to the Gurdwara in Gravesend on Wednesday, 17th January – along with two other Deal schools.  As part of their RE learning on the Sikhi faith, the children had the opportunity to visit the largest Gurdwara in Europe.  Once there they had a tour of the halls, were given a quick talk about the Gurdwara and it’s history and then had the opportunity to take part in a Sikhi langar where they tried out some flat breads and dahl along with other practising Sikhs.  It was a real awe and wonder day and a great way to hook them into learning about the Sikhi faith and practices.
