Kent LTA Primary Schools’ Doubles Tournament.

The East Kent heats for this took place on Thursday 6^th June at Polo Farm Sports Complex, Canterbury.  Sixteen of our pupils took part in their respective age groups.  In addition to the great shots, rallies and some amazing comebacks, all our children excelled in their sportsmanship; we were very proud of them all.   Additionally, Zavanna and Poppy (both Year 4) won their round robin box in the girls’ spongeball tennis event to qualify for the Finals in Bromley.

The Bromley Finals took place last Friday (14^th June). During their matches, Zavanna and Poppy worked fantastically as a team, showed great sportsmanship and played some really good tennis.  Despite the very early start leaving Deal at about 7am, they maintained their focus throughout the whole morning and won 3 of their six matches, and in so doing, won the Consolation Final and finished 5th overall in Kent!  It was a fantastic effort, well done Zavanna and Poppy!
