Great Tennis Day Out at The Copper Box Arena to watch Team GB in the Billie Jean King Cup.

On Sunday 12th November, our school group of 25 children, together with 14 adults, travelled by train to Stratford to go to the Copper Box Arena to watch a fantastic afternoon of enthralling tennis in the Billie Jean King Cup.

Enroute through the Olympic Park to reach the Copper Box Arena, we took the scenic route to see the Olympic Rings from 2012.

The Copper Box was an excellent venue for watching tennis. – Katie Boulter and Harriett Dart played superbly well for Team GB, both winning their singles matches and clinching the play-off tie against Sweden by 3 matches to 1.

Following the excitement of the tennis, we were then delighted to meet up with Sandi Procter, National President of the LTA.

Our time in Stratford then concluded with McDonalds take away before catching the train home to Deal.

Many thanks to Mrs Hodgson for organising and running this tennis trip with Ms Watson. Also, a massive thank you to all our parent helpers; we could not have run the trip without your support – thank you.
