Tennis Leaders’ Training Course
Earlier this year, during the February half-term holidays, eight Year 6 pupils from three DEALT schools and two Year 7 former pupils from DEALT, successfully undertook their LTA Tennis Leader training course at Deal Parochial.
During the training, all the children had fun planning and delivering tennis activities in our school hall, enabling them to learn many leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork and organisation.
Following Easter, the Year 6 pupils all received their certificates and their LTA Youth Tennis Leaders t-shirts at their respective schools of Deal Parochial, Kingsdown and Sholden.
They then put their acquired tennis leading skills into practice at the Dover Schools Games’ KS1 Tennis Skills Festivals at Marke Wood Park in Walmer. Some also scored at the previous week’s Dover Schools Games’ Red Ball Competition for Years 3 and 4.
