Year 5 Visit to Canterbury to meet Little Amal
On Thursday 21st October, Year 5 were invited to Canterbury to welcome Little Amal.
Little Amal has been travelling from Syria to Manchester and Canterbury was her next stop before she continues her journey. Year 5 were invited to take part in the welcome procession, walking from Canterbury Cathedral to the University of Kent.
The class had made welcome banners, using recycled materials, and used these to give Amal a wonderful welcome! A drum band, a fox and two seagulls joined the procession too, and it was an amazing and wonderful experience.
